What is that? It a ruler! I am so glad I bought it. I use it all the time. Mine is 12 1/2" x 12 1/2." I am going to show you how to use it. I am going to cut a 3"x4" piece of fabric.
Make sure your two edges of the fabric are square.
Lay the ruler on your fabric.
See how it's on the 3x4 inch mark? Then trace lightly with a pencil.
Then remove the ruler and cut.

You can do the same thing if you want to cut a "something inches by something inches and a half."
Also "something and a half by something and a half inches"
